About Us
The Montana Retail Association; (MRA); is a vibrant, professional trade group dedicated to being the voice of retailers in the Montana Legislature, and through our affiliated national associations, the nation's capital. Since 1964 the MRA has played an important role in retailing by providing expert testimony and lobbying the legislature, and by offering member benefits that save participating retailers significant sums of money.
The MRA is comprised of retailers of all sizes, from locally owned retailers (95% of the membership) to national chains. The MRA is also the umbrella organization for three other associations:
The MRA Board of Directors is comprised of two representatives from each of the affiliated associations and five from the MRA membership, for a total of eleven directors. This board meets several times each year to discuss strategic legislative directions, new member benefit proposals and to set the policies and budgets for the coming year.
The MRA is also allied with a number of national organizations to assure that the voice of retailers is heard in Washington DC, including those organizations listed below, as well as several other retail associations.
